Additional Thoughts:
I was not expecting to love these wheels as much as I do, and then when I saw the price, I was pretty astonished. Sure, $1500 isn't exactly budget, but for a carbon wheelset that's lighter than the ZIPPs and have 90% of the damped ride feel, it's a bargain. These are the closest wheels I've found to the ride feel of the ZIPPs. They don't have the ankle compliance of the ZIPPs, but they do have a very damped feel. They fall somewhere in-between the feel of the Atomiks and the ZIPPs. The Atomiks are noticeably lighter, but these do everything well, and for a price less than almost all the other wheels. They have some little niggles that I don't love (caps that fall off, non-threaded axles, proprietary spokes and tools, centerlock only) but their price and ride feel make up for it. Best carbon wheel for the buck.
Here's where they fell compliance wise in this test:
Nukeproof HZN V2 (least compliant)
Curve Dirt Hoops
Evil Loopholes
Atomik FM30 with Berd Spokes
Spinergy MMX 30
ZIPP 3ZERO Moto (most compliant)
Percieved weight
Atomik FM30 with Berd Spokes (lightest feeling)
Curve Dirt Hoops
Spinergy MMX 30
Evil Loopholes
ZIPP 3ZERO Moto
Nukeproof HZN V2 (heaviest feeling)
